WeSim FAQ

WeSim FAQ #

WeSim is WeFly Technology’s all-in-one cockpit system. Check this page first for usage issues; for glass panel (WePanel) issues see the WePanel FAQ.

Device not responding when plugged in #

  • Make sure you’re using a USB data cable (not a charge-only cable)
  • Make sure the device is powered (LED on)
  • Restart WeSim or unplug and replug the device
  • On first connection, wait a few seconds for the driver to install; the device should then appear on the WeSim Home page
  • If it’s still not recognized, try another USB port or another computer to rule out a hardware problem

Device recognized, but keys don’t work #

  • Make sure you’ve entered the cockpit (aircraft fully loaded)
  • Make sure the current aircraft is bound: Settings → ModelMatch or Bind Current Aircraft on the Popout Panel page
  • Some aircraft need power first (cold and dark state): check Cold Start Power on the Popout Panel page
  • Test the keys on the device page: real-time feedback means the hardware is fine — the issue is aircraft matching

Which simulators and aircraft are supported #

Platform Support
MSFS 2020 / 2024 ✅ Deep support
Prepar3D / FSX ✅ Supported
X-Plane 11 / 12 ✅ Supported

Deep aircraft adaptation: FBW A320neo, Fenix A320, FSLabs A320, PMDG B737 / B777, C172, C90 King Air, etc.; other aircraft can be matched with ModelMatch.

Which hardware devices are supported #

G1000 family (PFD & Audio / MFD), G3X Touch family (GDU 460 / GDU 370), A320 series (MCDU / Glareshield / MIP / Throttle / ECAM / RMP·ACP), B737 / B777 CDU, C172 instruments, SixPack, GTR 200 and 20+ more, continuously expanding.

How do I get glass panels out (PFD/ND/EICAS/EFB images) #

WeSim includes the glass panel engine WePanel. Entry point: Settings → Popout Panel. See the WePanel User Manual for details; see the WePanel FAQ for troubleshooting.

Note: A320 MCDU and B737/B777 CDU are standalone hardware devices using a dedicated data-driven solution (WeSim reads data → USB cable → device firmware renders the display), which does not rely on screen pop-outs.

Changing computers / reinstalling the OS #

WeSim is the companion driver software for WeFly hardware products — completely free, no license code or activation required. Install and use it on any computer; changing computers or reinstalling the OS has no restrictions.

How to update #

  • Open WeSim and check for updates, or contact support for the latest installer
  • Updates don’t affect saved panel configurations or aircraft bindings
  • We recommend closing the simulator and WeSim before upgrading

Where are the runtime logs #

Settings → Log page shows the runtime logs. When contacting support, they will guide you through providing the logs.

More questions #

When contacting support, please include: software version, simulator version, aircraft model, device model and the failure symptom, for faster diagnosis.
