WeSim User Manual

WeSim User Manual #

WeSim is WeFly Technology’s all-in-one cockpit system: self-developed physical hardware panels connect via USB and control mainstream aircraft in MSFS, P3D, FSX, X-Plane and other platforms; the built-in WePanel glass panel engine extracts aircraft glass instruments to separate screens with touch support. This manual covers WeSim installation and day-to-day use. For detailed glass panel (WePanel) operations, see the WePanel User Manual.

Installation & startup #

System requirements #

  • Windows 10/11 (64-bit)
  • A supported flight simulator installed (any of MSFS 2020/2024, Prepar3D, FSX, X-Plane 11/12)

Installation steps #

  1. Run the WeSim installer and follow the prompts
  2. Start WeSim
  3. Plug in hardware panels (USB connection); WeSim recognizes the devices automatically

Interface tour #

After startup, the navigation menu is on the left:

Menu Contents
Home Connected device list, simulator connection status
Devices One page per hardware panel (key test, LED, settings)
Settings MSFS / Popout Panel / ModelMatch / X-Plane / P3D·FSX / Log / Language

Hardware connection #

  • Hardware panels are plug and play over USB; connected devices appear on the Home page automatically
  • Multiple devices can be connected at once (e.g. G1000 PFD + G1000 MFD + audio panel)
  • Hot-plug supported: unplug and replug during operation, and devices recover automatically
  • When using a device for the first time, we recommend checking the key mapping on the device’s page

First use (three steps) #

  1. Connect devices: plug in hardware panels and confirm they are recognized on the Home page
  2. Bind aircraft: in Settings → ModelMatch, confirm the aircraft recognition rules, or use Bind Current Aircraft on the Popout Panel page to bind the aircraft to a panel configuration
  3. Start flying: launch the simulator and enter the cockpit; device keys/knobs operate the aircraft, and LEDs and gauges stay in sync

Device operation #

Each device has its own page under the “Devices” menu, including:

  • Key/knob test: real-time feedback when operating the hardware, handy for verifying the connection
  • LED/gauges: data delivery status
  • Mapping configuration: adjust key assignments per aircraft (pre-configured per aircraft by default; usually no changes needed)

Supported devices: G1000 family (PFD & Audio / MFD), G3X Touch family (GDU 460 / GDU 370), A320 series (MCDU / Glareshield / MIP / Throttle / ECAM / RMP·ACP), B737/B777 CDU, C172 instruments, SixPack, GTR 200 and 20+ more.

Aircraft binding (ModelMatch) #

WeSim automatically matches the aircraft-specific configuration (key mappings, instrument data) through aircraft recognition. Recognition rules can be viewed/adjusted in Settings → ModelMatch; panel configurations bound to an aircraft switch automatically when you switch aircraft.

Settings #

Setting Description
MSFS Simulator installation path, auto-connect options
ModelMatch Aircraft recognition rules
X-Plane X-Plane plugin installation and DataRef connection
P3D/FSX Prepar3D / FSX connection options
Language Interface language switching (Chinese/English)
Log View runtime logs (for troubleshooting)

Glass panels (WePanel) #

WeSim includes the glass panel engine WePanel: it extracts the aircraft’s PFD, ND, ECAM, G1000 and other glass instruments to separate monitors or touchscreens, with mirroring, grid preview, touch operation and LAN screen sharing.

Entry point: Settings → Popout Panel.

Detailed operations: see the WePanel User Manual (mirroring, grid, touch, LAN sharing, aircraft switching, common messages — all covered there, not repeated here).
